Is it safe to go to tanning salons?
SugarBabe asked:
I have fair skin and anytime I go to the beach I get burned, no matter how much sunblock I put. Besides I read a lot of stuff about the danger of ultraviolet radiation from the sun, that it can cause skin cancer, and many other negative sides of tanning. But I want to know how bad for your skin is indoor tanning. And if it is, what are the options then? Not to tan at all??

NO! I used to go a lot until I did research on it and now I won’t even go outside without SPF. It might not seem important now but it will make you look old very young, give you premature wrinkles and can case skin cancer. Your better off using a sunless tanning cream or getting uv free tan spray from a tanning salon
No. Why on earth do people think it’s safe?
The very act of tanning and making your skin darker from UV rays, whether from the sun or a salon, is sign of skin damage.
no you can get skin cancer you are better off using fake tanning
sure it is, just dont go everyday.
i would not go to a tanning salon unless you only get a spray tan. DO NOT GO INTO A TANNING BED. You will ruin ur fair skin and that has the UV rays and causes skin cancer. DO NOT DO THAT. personally i would use jergens natural glow mousturizer at home, great self tanner. hope i helped. by the way, really fair skin with brown hair or red hair is really pretty, as well as blonde, but brown and red hair with fair skin is so classic. i would not get a tan with that.
Don’t go there a lot….but you need to get used to it….one day for 4 miutes next day 6 minutes and so forth.
NONONONONONONONONONNNONONO!
NO IT IS NOT SAFE!! It is just as bad as the regular sun. You are already at a high risk of cancer since you have gotten a lot of sunburns. You can get skin cancer without even burning that often. Also, who really wants wrinkles, rough leathery skin, and nasty sun spots? Not me!!
To be honest they are BOTH bad for you and a doctor will tell you that as well because of the UV rays BUT I do tan outside and inside at a tanning booth because I want to get tan. One thing that is SAFE for you is spray on tan or its also called Mystic Tan…It’s just a spray on at a tanning salon but looks natural and good.
