If I tanned in a tanning bed with sunscreen or sunblock, would that help me get tan?
Cynthia asked:
I am very pale, but I have had a good tan a lot of times before so it is possible! It just takes me forever to get there. Do you think using sunscreen or sunblock would work? Which one would I use? After I got a base tan then I would change to tanning lotion of course.

nahh, i don’t think that’d work. you need to get a good burn first. (that sounds bad, but it’s what i have to do :/ ) then from there, i tan a little easier.
im irish, so if you can imagine, my skin is SUPERpale. i use baby oil, because it absorbs the sun more.
i don’t go tanning in tanning beds, although i want to
good luck!
yes. its actually better to tan with suntan lotion. it mainly depend on how long your going to spend in the bed though and if its your first time or not.
Girl all you have to do is put like spf 50 on and stay in the beach for like 3 hours. At least thats what I do. I fell on the beach when I was visiting my grandma in puerto rico and my entire back was brown and my front was like mid. Lol I’d rather be pale though. I love the beauty of porecline skin.
y would you ever go in a tanning bed with suncreen.
just go for less time.
i think it really wouldnt make a difference… because all the sunblock or anything is doing is blocking UV rays and im not sure if that would just make your tan worse
Sunscreen/sunblock will only halt the tan, which is kinda what they’re meant to do.
From experience, I would start for a shorter period of time with tanning accellerator (this works AMAZING). So yeah to prevent getting burnt at first then just go for shorter amounts of time but best thing is not to use the suncreen stuff cos it WILL delay your tan!!
(also make sure you moisturise heavily afterwards to prevent flaking/ peeling if slightly burnt).
your not going to tan at all if you use sunscreen, plus any lotion with mineral oil in it is bad for the tanning bed acrylics. use a salon recomended lotion, for faster color u might want to use a lotion with bronzer in it, just remember to wipe off your hands after you use it to prevent color on your hands…good luck building your tan
if your trying to enhance your tan why would you use sunblock?
that’s the opposite of what you want.
why not use a tanning oil to help you?
yes w\o it ull burn befor u tan w\ pail sken
